We want to provide an update on an exposure to COVID-19 within our Abbey Delray community. We learned Wednesday, May 18, that one of our Health Center residents tested positive for COVID-19.
If you were identified as having had prolonged contact with this individual, you would have been contacted and instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days, per the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Florida Department of Health – Palm Beach County and the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
By way of recap, we have two Health Center residents who have tested positive for the virus; one is being cared for in the hospital and the other is being cared for in our Health Center. We previously had one team member test positive for the virus and that individual continues to self-isolate at home.
We will continue to screen and monitor our residents, team members and essential visitors for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Additional information regarding COVID-19 in our community will be provided to you when available, as appropriate.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Abbey Delray management team. Thank you for your continued understanding, support and adherence to our safety protocols.
The Florida Department of Health offers further information for preventing the spread of COVID-19.
